DISCO BLOODBATH STARRING PERMANENT VACATION (MUNICH)

The Bloodbath summer heat continues….

For our August party we have secured the services of Benjamin Fröhlich and Tom Bioly, the men behind one of the breakthrough dance labels of recent years – Permanent Vacation.

Permanent Vacation’s discography reads like a who’s who of modern leftfield club music – Tensnake, Azari & III, Todd Terje, Maurice Fulton, Woofly, Hard Ton, 40 Thieves, 6th Borough Project & Kathy Diamond are just a few of the artists to have released audio recordings on the label.

Tom and Benjamin are amazing DJs who play throughout Europe as well as hosting their own killer night in Munich where they have played host to Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, Tim Sweeney, Chateau Flight and more.
Their night is also where DJ Harvey has chosen to play for the Munich leg of his upcoming European tour. WHÖÖP!

We’ve been trying to get these boys over for ages now, so we are over the moon that they can finally play round ours!

Our guests will, of course, be joined by Bloodbath residents Damon Martin, Dan Beaumont and Ben Pistor who’ll be providing the usual soundtrack of massive disco, raw house cuts, spaced-out italo and mutant pop noir into the early hours.

We had an ace time Hosting El Salon for We Love Sundays at Space in Ibiza on Sunday. It was brilliant to see some Bloodbath regulars there again. Thanks to all the We Love crew for taking such good care of us.

Next up for Bloodbath, we’re returning to London with force to once again team up with the Horse Meat Disco boys to host NYC Downlow at Lovebox on Sunday.

For those of you not in London, I’m hitting Berlin this Thursday the 15th to play Tropico Disco at Bar 25   and staying on to play Hot Boxx at Kleine Reise on Friday the 16th

I’m also going to be in Brighton on Saturday the 24th for an amazing looking outdoor daytime party called My Secret Disco.

Finally, the next Disco Bloodbath is on Saturday the 7th of August featuring the lovely chaps behind the incredible Permanent Vacation label.

DISCO BLOODBATH STARRING HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM – SATURDAY 3RD JULY

We are super excited to announce that for July’s Bloodbath we have San Francisco’s fabulous HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM!

Honey is a notorious weekly Sunday party in “the most sexually abrasive & peculiar district in town”, with a loyal crowd of bears, club kids, trannies, freaks & geeks getting down to the Honey sound of lo-fi House, early Acid & dance your ass off Disco.
They’ve also recently released an awesome compilation ‘Brotherhood’ full of original tracks by the likes of Mandy Warhole, Filthy Luka, Bear Essence & more…

As ever the Bloodbath hit-squad will be serving up the usual mish mash of ecstasy disco, spaced out italo, stripped down house music, yacht rock, bitch tracks, pop-noir and all manner of other sounds that go bump in the night.

Not sure if this is culturally sensitive or not. However, it is definitely awesome.

There are other youtube clips with the longer 12″ version but they’re lacking in pyrotechnics, light shows and bikini-clad women so this one gets my vote.

AU REVOIR SIMONE – SHADOWS (TANLINES REMIX)

I’m probably a bit late on this (I think it came out last September) but I’ve been obsessed with this remix since hearing it a couple of weeks ago at my brother in law’s stag do. Brooklyn duo Tanlines have given the original a Torch Song-esque sort of vibe. Perfect summer horizontal by the pool stuff.
